Volunteer with Us
Volunteers help enhance a patient’s care in many ways and provide a much needed break for caregiving family members. Often that includes offering calming therapies, visiting with the patient, or helping the family with errands and offering emotional support. Our trained volunteers are critical to providing whole-person care to each patient and their family.
With a focus on offering respite for patients and their families, our volunteers are counted on for a wide range of support.
They serve our patients by providing companionship, socialization and emotional support, creating written history for loved ones, shopping and running errands, reading to patients, preparing light meals and snacks, providing music sessions, certified pet therapy, aromatherapy and much more.
Our multilingual staff of volunteers can assist families in the following languages, Spanish, English, Tagalog, Farsi, Korean, French, Romanian, Swahili and Vietnamese.
While our volunteers are invaluable in caring for our patients, they do not handle personal or medical care duties, such as nail clipping, lifting patients, or handling medications. They willingly give their time, and cannot accept gifts from patients or their families. Please reach out to us with any questions.
We Honor Veterans
One of the greatest gifts we give our veterans is the companionship of another veteran. They can share stories and build a rapport, and find peace and comfort in the knowledge that their family will have the companionship of someone they can trust.
Veterans interested in volunteering can be of service as compassionate companions to our veteran patients. We also help the families of veterans with special memorial arrangements.
